Alert: Issues with Vote-By-Mail Crossover Ballots in Los Angeles

I got my vote-by-mail ballot last week and my crossover preference WAS NOT registered. Instead I received a straight NPP ballot which is worthless for any Bernie vote. My mom switched parties to vote and SHE got her old party ballot. So she also cannot vote for Bernie unless she takes additional steps.

It shows online that we took the necessary steps. When I called Norwalk the first clerk told me that the ballots weren't different. Of course they are. They have 10 different ballots for the primary. When I challenged this, she checked and said they would mail a corrected ballot.

In my mother's case she had switched from Republican to Dem. They said that this was a known issue and they were doing a second mailing this week. She should not call again until Friday. The deadline is Monday. If you wait until Friday and you don't receive the ballot it will be a zoo.

How many people will not realize something is wrong, of if they do, not take these steps?
