Help with OTB tournament

I'm considering doing my first OTB tournament this saturday, with this tournament:

http://www.mdchess.com/index.php?option=com_jevents&task=icalrepeat.detail&evid=74545&Itemid=44&year=2016&month=05&day=21&title=3rd-annual-mid-atlantic-blitz-scholastic-chess-championship&uid=fc93a74c042245f4e81d14ed3c6bd45c&catids=52

My only question is do i need a USCF membership before going? So that once i play in the unrated category i would be given a rating?
