Subtitles Plug-ins for FCPX?

Hi, I'm in art school and since we dont really have a class on film-making I had to ask reddit for this: I'm editing a fake reality show that my classmates are filming, since we are not filming with professional videocameras (we are shooting with Reflex cameras) or professional audio, some dialogues are hard to hear and I got asked to put subtitles on, thing is I'm realizing my version of final cut (10.2.3) doesn't quite something that could help me put subtitles.

My questions are:

1. Does basic Text function can help me in the worst case scenario?

2. Do you guys know any good plugins for subtitles on FCPX?

3. Are there any free subtitle plugins for FCPX?

Thanks and excuse my bad english :)
