How much is too much?

My financial adviser asked me questions like, "what do you want to do when you retire?" Cruise baby, every month. Well, that's what 40 year old me thinks. But my Dad says, you don't need nearly as much money as you think you will need when old, cuz you don't ever want to do anything. Well, that's him, not me...now. So, I ask you, when do you know you have enough money in the little old bank and stocks to say, F it, I'm going to buy me a sports car and have some fun. :) Those who die with the most toys win! Last thing I want is to have half a million left over to pay for a gold lined casket or give it away to my nieces and nephews I barely know.
