Post Premier League season 2015/16 Thread
So, that's it for the Prem, barring a pointless scum match. How did everyone think that went? Given the manager switch, the injuries, the 'hits and misses' with our transfers (maybe still some indecision on that last point).
I feel like it's turned out to be literal pre-'season'. Hyped for next year, whatever happens in the EL final.
Some key points.
-
Danny Ings' ruptured cruciate ligament Oct/15
-
Joe Gomez' knee injury Oct/15
-
Klopp takes over from Rodgers Oct/15
-
Sakho suspended for fat burners (just as he was looking like a potential Cpt).
-
We lost only once against the top 4. But had poor performances/results vs West Ham / Man Utd / West Brom / Watford / Newcastle.
-
Best matches: Man City 1-4 (a) / Norwich 4-5 (a) / A Villa 0-6 (a) / Man City 3-0 (h) / Stoke 4-1 (h) / Everton 4-0 (h)
-
Finish: 8th (6 points off 4th).
Interesting fact: Klopp's middle name is Norbert.
