Get "Back" and "Forward" gestures enabled on your Touchpad here (X1C4.. probably others)
I know a lot of you use the trackpoint (I naturally go to it sometimes too), but I like the laid back feeling of the touchpad too sometimes.. it's nice for two finger scrolling, two finger touch right clicking, even the movement is good and the X1C4 touchpad also feels really nice. One feature that W10 seems to have taken away though was the two finger swipe to go back and forward in your web browser or folders.
Well, some of you probably already discovered this already, but Synaptics Touchpad settings allow you to assign certain touch gestures to "back" and "forward" plus many more you might find useful (scroll up/down, minimize/minimize all, even assigning a specific webpage to open).
Anyway, go to your Snyaptics Mouse Settings -> Advanced Tab -> Tap Zones .. here you can assign corner touches to do certain tasks. I've set my bottom left corner to go "back" and bottom right to go "forward" .. works pretty nicely. Admittedly, I never had the two finger swipe options people seem to miss, so I don't know if it's as good, but it's been pretty smooth for me so far : )
