Should I move then start HRT or should I start HRT now then move?
Alright, I know I what to move to a different state, because I'm currently living in a very red state, and there a lot of transphobia here. I do know quite a few people who aren't but the majority of the people here are. I don't really want to come out at my current place of employment. At the moment, I've only told two people and one is my therapist, the other is my cousin who is a lesbian.
I'm still paying for student loans, and some hospital/physical therapy bills because I had surgery about a month ago. So most of my money right now is going to those bills, rent, and my therapist. I'm not sure if my current insurance would cover hormones or the one that I'm going to when I turn 26 would cover it because I haven't find anything when doing my research. I'm planning on switching to blue cross blue shield for federal employees, as soon as I can. Hell it's hard to even to find where I could go for hormones here. If anyone knows where in Oklahoma that I could go to, or what insurances here covers hormones, please let me know.
I'm not sure if I should move to a state that has better trans healthcare insurance now and then start HRT, or start it now and be full time when I move and be completely stealth with nobody knowing the old me. But I'm not sure what to tell future employers about my trans status if I start now.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
