Network devices behaving badly. Please help. (Air Express and roku).

I am quite confused after setting up my parents new airport extreme router. I am familiar with non apple networking hardware so this seemed way easier. However there were existing products that I wasn't aware they had that they water set up.

Problem 1. The airport extreme doesn't show up on the setup aplication I used for the router. I thought resetting would work but the 3 methods for resetting were not able to be done. Soft reset required connecting to the device. Simple hard reset was done and no change. Finally the factory reset which required depressing a standard looking reset button was my last option according to the instructions in the box it came in. However I could not find a button for that anywhere. There are the standard ports for ethernet, power, USB or firework and 2 small holes one for a 3.5mm jack and one which looks exactly as I would picture a factory reset style button but it has a small "play" icon, circle with rightward pointing triangle. No matter I tried using that with the hopes it was a second label for the 3.5mm jack used for some odd reason to indicate an a/v cord like I had with my video ipod way back. Sorry this is long just want to be very thorough. It just did not seem to work at all as any kind of reset button despite the recessed button look. Please help me if at all possible. Problem 2. I didn't even have a chance to look at the roku but if anyone has tips on how to set it to a different network that might not be in the instruction booklet I'd love to hear them.

In summary, both problems revolve around the 2 devices being connected to an old network and now they won't show up on the computer app for setting up the network. Once again I appreciate any help anyone could send my way. If more info is needed just ask.
