Just realized that I know nothing about Aimer besides her music

Having listened to plenty of Aimer's songs, I just realized that I have hardly seen her face. The photos I found on internet are all too vague, with her face being partly covered. Even during her live performance (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQLeCmquRlw), we can see that the cameraman deliberately avoided capturing her face. This phenomenon is in fact not rare in Japanese music industry. Some other artists such as Rurutia or Greeeen never show their faces or reveal their identities to the public to avoid interference with their careers (Greeeen members are dentists). Is this also the case for Aimer? Do you think this will hurt her potential a bit? She has great voice but will surely have difficulties gaining more popularity this way.
