Recommendations for slow tension building movies that release in extreme violence?

I'm a big lover of Drive, Blue Ruin, No Country for Old Men, and others like this that take their time building the tension, and may even be a bit frustratingly slow, but when the release comes it hits hard. I'm asking because I just saw Green Room and loved it and want to find more stuff in this vein. Thank you all!

Edit: more movies in this style I've loved are There Will be Blood, Ex Machina, basically every Tarantino movie besides the Kill Bills, and House of the Devil
