Donald Trump on Economic Recovery (1991)

This video proves an outstanding in-depth truth to Donald Trump's knowledge and professional expertise on business, finance, and the economy. The 1991 House Budget Committee specifically requested Donald Trump to appear before the committee in Washington, D.C., so they could hear his expert advice on economic recovery. If you're thinking that Donald seems to be more calm and quiet in the video and are wondering why? Well, because he wasn't running to be president, back then. Though, this video does prove that he can be calm and quiet. He's calm and quiet, when he needs to be, when he wants to be. For example, when he's speaking to a bunch of suits about the economy. Now, when he's speaking about the economy to thousands of people, whether it's at a rally or a debate, he chooses to be loud, energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate. Why? Because, he cares about making positive changes for America and he knows that's what's resonating with millions and millions of voters, who are also enthusiastic and passionate about making real positive changes for the country. I watched this entire video and it is fascinating to listen to Donald speak on the economy. He truly is a business, finance, and economic genius.

He knows exactly what he's talking about. Not only that, what he talked about at this meeting is 100% consistent with what he talks about today on how to boost the economy. In the video, he talks about many different things relating to the economy. He talks about using the real estate industry to make the economy stronger. He talks about how to create JOBS, JOBS, AND MORE JOBS for low and middle income Americans. He talks about how to create housing for ALL Americans. He also talks about Tax Reform, how to decrease taxes on low and middle income Americans, while increasing taxes on the wealthy. He made a point of saying that contrary to what politicians have said, he believed the country was, then in 1991, experiencing a Depression, NOT a Recession. He said, "People are kidding themselves, if they think it's a Recession." Now, a couple of interesting details about what some of the politicians said in response to Donald. In the beginning of the video, then Committee Chairman, named Congressman Frank Guarini of New Jersey, who is a Democrat, made a point of acknowledging that the committee knows Donald "to be very frank and outspoken."

Another interesting point, was after a REPUBLICAN Congressman asked Donald some questions on the economy, the Congressman praised him and agreed with him on all of his advice and ideas on how to boost the economy. That Republican was Congressman William Thomas of California. He was so impressed with Donald's advice and ideas and agreed with him so much, that Thomas said he needed to get Donald to speak in front of other committees, including the Ways and Means Committee. Ways and Means has jurisdiction over all taxation, tariffs, and other revenue-raising measures, as well as a number of other programs. Donald made the point of saying to the same Congressman and the whole Budget Committee, that the real estate industry, which consists of thousands of people, as powerful and as important as it is, has the most pathetic lobby in the history of the United States Congress. Congressman Thomas, then took a huge shot at lobbyists and said, if Donald appeared before Ways and Means and other committees, then the real estate industry wouldn't need lobbyists. At the end of the video, Congressman Guarini also agreed with Donald's advice and ideas on the economy. After listening to Donald's advice, Guarini said, "There are a number of corrections that should be made for the sake of the growth of our economy, otherwise it will be too late, if we don't move soon." Can anyone say, Real Estate/Housing Bubble of 2008? I guess, Guarini and the other politicians on the Budget Committee didn't take his own words seriously. They obviously didn't even take Donald's advice seriously, meanwhile that was the whole reason why they asked him to appear before the committee. Donald predicted that bubble and obviously, he was right. He should definitely use that to his advantage throughout his campaign.

He should talk about how he predicted an economic bubble was going to explode in the near future, which he even testified about, before the House Budget Committee, and the Committee Chairman acknowledged it, but of course, they didn't listen to him and the Housing Crisis of 2008 was the result. He should definitely exploit that, because it undeniably proves how intelligent a non-politician and owner of a multibillion dollar organization is and proves how stupid politicians are, which is Donald's whole point. It's why he's running to be president. Donald has also made the prediction of a new economic bubble that he believes is going to burst in the very near future and he believes it's going to be much worse, than 2008. He believes it's going to be "the big one," as they call it in the business world, meaning it's going to cause a nationwide economic collapse.
