Safe Flavoring for DIY?

I did a quick search here and in general, and i've been looking on amazon. I bought a huge bottle of VG (99.7 food grade) that had a lot of reviews from vape enthusiasts, and i've been diluting 12mg VG "extra flavor extra sweetener" from a place in riverside using 3:1 VG to e-liquid. If it comes out too weak i add a few drops of 24mg VG flavorless liquid until it hits correctly.

So i want to mix my own flavors. We really enjoy cherry, citrus, and chocolatey candy sort of flavors. Can i buy the food flavoring at the market and use that? Or can i, say, take lemons, limes, and oranges and concentrate it in an electric skillet a bit and use that? Is there a good resource somewhere for this?

I am currently using eLeaf TC60W and a Kennedy RDA, handwound and organic cottonball cotton. I'm looking for a good deal on titanium and N200 wire (since this is a temp control mod); but no one sells it near me (and i've been to a few vape shops in Oregon as well, no dice); so it'll go on the Amazon order if i order food flavoring.

Thanks!
