[META] Rule #3: Show-Off Posts - Your participation is requested!

I just wanted to point out to everyone on the sidebar Rule #3: Please keep show-off posts to our weekly show-off threads. We love seeing your hits, and this way they'll all be in one place for us to see!

I've been lax with this rule lately, and a little on purpose, to see what everyone thinks. On one hand, it gives everyone a little more content to see if everyone makes a thread, but on the other hand, we can quickly devolve into JUST show-off threads. I really don't want to see the latter, but I don't want these to be quick karma-grabs either.

I'll give a week for discussion on this. On top of that I'll allow show-off threads for the week as long as it isn't abused (in other words if I see one person make 2 or 3 threads a day, expect them to be removed).

Please don't let this be a vocal minority discussion. If you have a thought, please comment. If someone's viewpoint is dissenting towards your own, please don't downvote it. Not everyone is going to agree on the matter, but we should be able to come to a consensus.
