How the he'll do I beat the tutorial.?

I bought this game this morning, and have spent the past 5 hours trying to beat the first boss of the damn tutorial with my pyromancer....

I can get his health halfway down until he transforms without taking a scratch, and then he transforms and boom, I'm dead...
