Sultan Mehmed V had ordered his troops to attack the defensive lines of Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud in the hopes of driving him back from Syria and Aleppo. The Ottoman infantry engaged all along the Arabian line, and managed to push back the Arabian troops back. However, the Arabians responded with an immediate counterattack, and pushed back the Ottoman troops, who, in response, pushed back the Arabian troops. The Ottomans came out on top with minor gains, but the battle itself was a stalemate. Outcome: Minor Ottoman Victory CASUALTIES
