DIY Hair Mask
I would like to make something on an as-needed basis, eliminating the need for a preservative since I will be using it all up in one go, and making it specifically in the quantities for use.
I want to use Shea butter and mango butter but I find these products to be sticky and hard to apply to my hair. And even more difficult to wash out.
My hair is color treated and I do not use heat treatments often (three times a year max). I let it air dry. It's very thick and semi-wavy-curly, and dry at the ends.
I have Shea butter, mango butter, coconut/almond/olive/glycerine/avocado oils on-hand, as well as 100% aloe juice.
Does anyone here know a viable recipe using any of that? It can contain other stuff I may need to buy but the focus, if possible, should be the Shea butter and mango butter, as those are what I really want to use.
The butters I have are raw and unrefined. Is that why they're sticky?
Any help would be appreciated. I hope I've explained my goal well enough. :) Thank you!
