Worst bar in philly

So I'm wondering if this episode has a deeper meaning. In the gang tries desperately to win an award in the commentary they say that it's more about their confusion at how successful the show is yet hasn't even been nominated for an award. I'm wondering if the worst bar in philly episode might be a response to a scathing review or something that they recieved?

Any ideas?
