First Turntable Setup Help

I'm in the process of buying stuff for my first turntable setup and I had a few questions that I needed help with as I have no idea what I'm doing!

1. I'm on a budget so I'm choosing between the Ion ittusb05 (my Dad has this and hasn't had any problems with it) or the Ion Profile LP. I can get either second hand but still new for about £30 so price isn't an issue in choosing but I've seen some bad reviews on the Profile LP so I wondered what one would be better.

2. As both these turntables have a built in preamp all I need is a pair of speakers so I wondered if there is a specific type of speakers I should be looking for to work with the outputs from the turntables or if anyone can recommend any good speakers for these turntables that are a good price

EDIT- Forgot to mention that the setup is just for my bedroom so I don't need speakers that are that big
