###Recommendations of the Week ##/u/Fazermint
There's a lot to choose from, but I only found myself liking the Flotsam and Jetsam song. It's relatively non-agressive for something labeled thrash. The song is called Iron Maiden and I hear some clear Dickinson worship in the vocal style (though the guy sings faster). The instrumentation lends itself a little more towards Judas Priest. Full of influences, but the end result is pretty good.

Iron Savior is awesome and the song sounds damn good. They seem focused on not changing anything to their sound so it probably won't be an amazing album, but it should at least be more good Iron Savior.
Whispered is amazing, just crazy good. Yes, it's a band with a gimmick (an unusual one), but they're also exceptionally good at their craft. This song is pretty straightforward, but the album has a lot of variety. They go from Power Metal to Melo Death to Black to Folk and it's interesting to hear how they interweave all of these styles and influences.
Interment sounds like good old school Death Metal and Nihilistinen Barbaarisuus (fuck that name) sounds different from the last album, they were extremely lo-fi Ambient Black and I don't usually like that too much, but something about these guys that made it really work for me. The production this time is so much cleaner to the point that I'm not sure what they're going for in this EP. The song sounds pretty good, it's simple but it works.

Finally! This was a good week to make up for some lesser ones we’ve had the last little bit.
For those that need more of a good thing, Iron Savior is here to make sure you get exactly what you want; Power and Speed. Although maybe it’s just me, but I felt it took a bit before Piet really hit his vocal stride, but otherwise there’s little to complain about here.
I was worried when I saw Flotsam and Jetsam as their later material has been hit or miss, but this song is hit all the way. Although, calling them Power/Thrash now may seem a bit of a stretch, it felt more like Power/Speed, but that’s just my opinion.
I also have to recommend Whispered as well. Although I’m not the biggest fan of harsh vocals, when you do something different (such as the use of traditional Japanese instrumentation) you tend to forget about things like harsh vocals. They have been releasing a lot of singles as of late, so it’s good to know a full album will be coming sooner than later.
Also; all the compilations!!! Virigin Steele and Running Wild truly interest me but I'm sure they'll be some people who will dig the Kamelot compilation.
