Finishing 8th - Why it's a good thing.

First of all I want to preface by saying I have no doubt that we would have finished at least two places higher in the table if it was not for Klopp making heavy sacrifices to our weekend squads over the last two months. It's no secret that Klopp prioritises Europe over almost everything and we could have done a Tottenham to a certain degree. But in not doing so, we have reached the Europa league final and have a chance of gaining Champions League qualification (as well as winning a motherfuckin trophy which many people seem to forget). If we were to lose the final I do not think it would be the be all and end all many people believe it to be. You could accuse me of being too optimistic but I think the lack of European football would enable us to give the league a right go next year. On top of this, and despite our excellent run in the league cup, Klopp could pay more attention also to the FA cup which he too made sacrifices for; if you look at our squad from the replay with West Ham. One thing I do love about being in Europe, no matter it Europa or CL, is the increase in games played throughout the year as I love being able watch three games in ten days for instance. I don't give a shit if the players don't like it. That would be my only fear.
