When can I start bulking? Do I need a certain BF%?
When I started working out, I was 125 lbs at 5'4". I was skinny fat, but already eating at a huge deficit (not on purpose), which made me feel like crap all the time. So I wasn't actually trying to lose weight, I was just trying to improve my health.
Now I'm 115 lbs, and I finally have a real fitness goal. I've really started to fall in love with my biceps lately, so I dream of building more muscle. However, I still have some fat around my midsection that I'd like to continue melting. (An online BF% calculator said I'm around 23%, another one said I was around 25%, idk.)
I've read that you should bulk once you've reached your goal weight. But since I never had a "goal weight," just a "goal physique," I'm not really sure what to do. I just don't want to start working on biggering my guns if it's going to bigger my stomach along with it. Would trying to bulk right now be a bad idea?
TL;DR - I want to be able to punch through a brick wall, but my stomach's still kinda "meh". Should I keep cutting, or will my tummy survive some bulking?
