Alkyoneus found

So found this boss and was wondering about some general strategy when facing him. I havent tested anything yet:

Alkyoneus stats

Alkyoneus skills

If I use a warrior skill to block earthquake does that block the aoe damage or just damage the warrior take? He is a Max 5 Party quest but that might not be the best idea to take 5 heros if this aoe cant be blocked.
