Saving time in farming covenant items

I know there is enough of farming bitching and suggestion. A possible way to save time and frustration in farming covenant items is that not to farm any covenant item until after beating the final boss. It will take forever to farm, if doing so as the game progress. After beating the final boss, start farming the PoCK at Anor Londo, this will also allow you level up quickly. Each run gives at least 10K souls, one minute per run, hahaha, do that 500 times for 5 million souls, level up when desired. Then, farm the other 4 covenant items by killing the droppers in one or two shots. You don't have to level up again in NG+ and NG++ to get all the rings you need.
