Squad clearout

A last minute winner after a backs to the wall display in the sun has left me feeling strangely optimistic. Its been a patchy season, but cant argue with 9th again after all the injuries. Its a big summer and I think we need to get a few in and a few out.

Butland - keep, obviously. Have him locked in a secure facility until 1st September.

Bardsley - I've come full circle, I'd keep him. Been our best defender in the dodgy spell, and at least he's got some fight.

Pieters - keep, but he has to get back to his 1st half of the season form

Muniesa - keep, but he needs to improve his decision making. Desperately needs a run of fitness.

Whelan - keep. Hero

Ireland - Not like we can get rid of him now. Reluctantly keep

Johnson - keep, his absence has been massive, he's our only natural width.

Odemwingie - sell. Think his contract is up and he's knackered

Arnautovic - Interesting. I think I'm in the minority, but I'd let him go if he wants to. He's a good player, but he's not irreplaceable, and he's only done it consistently for one year. Whos to say he isnt another Kris Commons, who only performs when his contract is up for renewal/the chance of a big move. Keep him if he wants to, let him go if he doesnt. He needs to be 100% committed.

Joselu - keep, give him a run of games, teach him some composure.

Wilson - Get rid

Afellay - Sweet prince. Keep, get him fit, build the midfield around him

Adam - Sell, too many bodies in CM.

Shawcross - keep, back to something approaching his best last few games.

Diouf - keep if we're going to use him front, with a regular run of games, sell if he's going to be our backup winger.

Walters - Tough one. His form this season hasnt been good enough really, he seems to be constantly offside. He's a legend, but I might reluctantly sell if we get a good offer.

Cameron - He's getting worse. He's gone from a dependable jack of all trades to a complete bombscare. Today was the worst I've seen him play. He's still making the same mistakes as when he first arrived, which is unforgivable. Sell

Imbula - keep, but work out how to use him. Clearly immensely talented, but lazy

Shaqiri - Get him fit and he'll be a star. keep

Teixeira - The worst player in the league. Sell

Given -Good game today, but we need a more dependable number two. Sell

Crouch - Reluctantly sell. Will be missed

Wollschied - Is he good? I just dont know anymore. I dont know if the imperious Cruyff turning, immense reader of the game of the autumn, or the slow, mentally weak, positonally suspect eejit of the spring is the real Wolly. Keep as backup but we either need Muniesa to find fitness and form or bring in a significant upgrade.

Bojan - Given a bit of a rough deal. Deserved to be dropped in Feb, but has been one of our better players recently, despite being in and out of the side. Keep him, but I sense he and Imbula might not work in the same side.

Haugaard - Loan him out to the lower leagues, lets see if its just nerves or lack of experience that have fucked him recently, or if he really is mince. The amount of goals that have gone straight down the middle of his goal suggests the latter.

Sidwell - Fuck him off

What do you think? Probably been a little harsh on Walters
