Bicycle theft and safety in Waterloo

I bought a bike for triathlon training a couple years ago for a $1000 (specialized allez sport). It is the only bike with me this term so no beater bikes. If I were to leave it on campus, what are the chances of it being stolen, assuming I properly lock it with a $70 lock? Are there any "bad" areas to watch out for?
