Opportunity to work part-time for business - good academic career move?
Hi, I have my PhD in Psychology from a UK university and aspire to continue with academia for my career. After some discussion with a local business, I've been offered 10 hours a month contract (paid) to support their business - summarising research that's relevant to their interests and offering other advice.
I'm not sure this is a good move because of my academic goals. For those with more experience, will having this on my CV help or be seen as a distraction?
