Should I buy DayZ

I love survival games, I used to be addicted to H1Z1 survival before it got ruined and no one plays it anymore. The idea of grinding and other stuff is fun for me, I have friends to play with the only problem is that on steam the reviews are all mostly negative (Recent) and idk I just need someone elses opinion thanks
