Big difference in Hl maths vs sl?

Im in grade 10 and just wondering how hard is it compared to grade 10. In our school we have a separate pre ib course tho. I saw some of the past papers and they were all like proving theories and shit. Is it something you can study for? cna you get a 7 if you just study really hard?
