is it possible to blend in as a 20 year old GS student?

I'm recently admitted to gs, and deciding between Columbia and UCLA where i'd just be a true freshmen. I was wondering if I could still have somewhat of a social life with people around my age who go to Columbia college or if they tend to be snooty towards GS people. I'd really like to come to Columbia, but I also really crave some semblance of a traditional college social experience.
