RSS Feed as Desktop Background

I have OS X El Capitan and I'm wondering if there is any way to use an RSS feed as my desktop background.

Specifically, I have a tumblr blog whose images I'd want to randomly cycle through as my desktop background. Is this at all possible? Thanks for your time and consideration!
