Is Forensic Engineering right for someone interested in Philosophy?

I am a very curious person o likes to know the fundamentals of things and make sense of them. I enjoy philosophy, specifically Logic and Epistemology, and I figured that Forensic Engineering would be a nice fit, but is there any other types of engineering that would fit me as well, or even better? Is forensic engineering even the right place for me? Also, on a side note, how is the salary?
