[SPOILERS] How to bring SHIELD into Infinity War

Civil War spoilers ahead...

So, as we saw at the end of Civil War, Cap's lost his shield. Stark wanted it because his father made it, so Cap left it with him.

Let's skip ahead to Infinity War and assume Cap hasn't got his shield back from Stark and Wakanda hasn't made him a new one.

Cap's in the (Secret?) Avengers base with Maria Hill and a couple of the other Avengers near the start of the film. They're discussing whatever global crisis they're facing (Thanos, maybe?), and at the end of the meeting, Cap mentions to Hill that he's gonna need a new shield some time soon.

You can probably see where this is going. Hill says she's already got it sorted, but it just might not be the kind of shield he's expecting. Cue the sound of a chopper, and a few seconds later, Coulson walks into the room like a badass, followed by Daisy and the agents.
