Can you help me reconcile Black Holes, reference frames, Hawking Radiation, and the Firewall theory?

General Discussion

I am trying to figure out at which point in the reference frame of a particle, Alice, falling towards a black hole would she evaporate due to Hawking radiation. In the reference frame of Bob, a particle outside the influence of the black hole, I understand that Alice will seems to take an eternity to reach the event horizon. I also understand that according to Bob the mass of the black hole would evaporate before eternity. In her own reference frame does Alice evaporate before the event horizon, at the horizon, or after the horizon? Finally, does the Firewall theory impact this at all? If so, How?

My intuition tells me she will evaporate as she passes the horizon and thus a singularity is never formed, but I'm told that I'm confusing my reference frames.
