Custom Sabers opinions?

How do you guys feel about completely from scratch custom made sabers? Builds like sink tube sabers, maglite sabers, hardware sabers, etc. I've been making some out of galvanized conduit and none are fully complete yet, but they're looking near OT movie quality. I'll post pictures when they're done. But, what are your opinions on from scratch sabers?
