Feedback Received!

This is my first poetry since I was 18 (I'm 32 now) and I have zero education on what poetry is "supposed to be." Please go easy on me. I'm not done with this piece, but looking for advice and feedback before I continue with it. I'm also looking for better suggestions for a title. Thank you in advance.

Heart empty of feeling,

Mind vacant of thought.

What is left in this world,

In this world that I've bought.

Friendships may come,

Friendships may go.

Some flourish and thrive,

Still, most never grow.

A strong bond we share,

Which way will it flow.

Without much understanding,

There's no way to know.

Offer love and support,

To show that I care.

But at sight of first joke,

Friendships turn to despair.

Money is primary,

But not sole currency.

Pain, anguish, and tears,

These are bills paid to me.

Endless options to start,

This not the one that I sought.

Left alone in this world,

In this world that I've bought.
