Saturday Night’s Alright for Raiding: Introducing Eorzea Expeditions, Inc.!

Time:

Every Saturday @ 9-11pm Eastern / 6-8pm Pacific

 

Purpose:

Outlanders! Does the idea of raiding interest you, but the thought of trying out for a static puts you off? Are you afraid that you don’t have enough time to contribute? Well, let me introduce you to a little group that I like to call Eorzea Expeditions, Inc. (Formerly, Raid Group 2).

EEI's main purpose is to act as a stepping stone to endgame raiding. All Outlanders are welcome, though priority will be given to people with proven attendance.

Our goal is for EEI to be fun for everyone, and players in attendance should be supportive of their fellow raiders. Criticism should be constructive and positive reinforcement should be used to assist players with lower confidence.

The Order of Tactics (hi!) will also be keeping an eye on this group to gauge player potential and interest in more progression-oriented content.

 

Raid Targets, In Order of Priority:

1. ARR Raid content (Coils, Crystal Tower)
2. HW Raid Content (Alexander, Void Ark)
3. EX Primals/Trials
4. Content Farming (Glamour, Ponies, etc.)

The rough schedule is to work through everything in order, though if we don’t have the right setup for our current target, we’ll move through this list in order of priority.

Sync/Etc.

Level 50 content will be run synced. The only exceptions are Turns 3, 4, and content we're attempting to farm Glamour items or Mounts from.

Unless we are doing an Alliance Raid, we will not be using Duty Finder to fill spots.

 

Voice Comms/Streaming:

Teamspeak is required, though a microphone is not. Under certain circumstances, a player may be excused from this.

If people in the FC would like to see a stream of us raiding, I’d like to request that only one player in our group do so, and that they configure their setup to exclude Teamspeak. If viewers wish to hear our witty banter, they may log into our TS channel, but must mute their mic.

 

Loot:

This isn't a progression group, so players may roll 'need' on whatever items they wish. If the group starts working on content which provides gear at a higher item level than Tomestones can provide, we may revisit this.

 

Party Formation:

EEI exists somewhere between a static and a pick-up raid. If you're interested in joining us for a particular target, feel free to sign up. There will be a post on our Subreddit every Thursday-ish, containing the current target, relevant strategies, and a list of the players who are filling each role.

Even if all eight roles are listed as filled, if you’re interested in being an alternate, please sign up. There’s a good chance you’ll find your way in!

I will begin forming the party approximately 30 minutes before the listed start time, so please be online by then. Latecomers may have their spots filled by people on the alternate list to ensure we start on-time.

 

Code of Conduct:

Bad attitudes, harassment, or unreasonable impatience with other players will not be tolerated. See Wheaton's Law. If problems arise, please let me or a member of the High Council know.
