No title, just bursts of emotion, with words and no name.
Hi, this is my first post here and I don't really know if it's allowed to write a prose introduction, but I feel it's necessary, so I'll do it.
I'm fairly new to poetry, I actually first gave it a try last week and it turned out to be the perfect solution to a long standing problem of mine: putting words to feelings. Or at least getting close to it. For this, I have been using poems of only four verses (Sorry, I don't know the name) I write with out giving much thought to them while I'm feeling strong emotions. This is my third poem, wrote it just now after spending some time with my SO.
My face in your chest is ever warm,
But irony to skin, my heart feels cold.
My lips breed lies with perfect calm,
Our love, once strong, now grows old.
Short, simple, strong, honest. This is what I get from writing them. I would like to know your opinion as I haven't really felt like showing them to anyone, so it might encourage me to post the others. Thanks for reading.
EDIT: bit of wording (not in the poem itself).
