Theory: The blood vials we get in ZNS come from Origins

Jason Blundell first created the story we are now dealing with right before Origins, which means that everything major has been planned out. The map the Blundell had a huge influence on prior to Origins would be MotD in which the map's Easter egg taught us that these characters are doomed in an infinite loop until they get it right.

Fast forward to the intro cinematic of Origins. Everyone's kicking ass and they arrive to Edward Richtofen. There's a standoff until they silently decide to focus on the doctor. The camera pans to a confused looking Edward, cautiously observing his surroundings. Their meeting is interrupted by the approaching zombie hoard and Takeo, Dempsey, and Nikolai prepare. Richtofen however is seen looking around and looks above to see the robot before the robot makes itself known.

My point? The blood vials that we went through dimensions to get are from the Origins universe. In the event that our characters do fail, it will begin all over again at the beginning of our journey. In the event of our team failing Richtofen's soul will return back to Origins to retry the process. Edward also is constantly saying that he has seen their deaths (and that the map he is playing on is not it).

TLDR : It's an infinite loop starting at Origins.
