Should I restart the game (again)?

So this is my first (ish) playthrough of Conquest and it's kicking my flipping ass. I already had to restart the game once when I got to Chapter 23 and have had much better success this time around. However, I'm officially stuck at Chapter 26 (Treason). I am playing on Normal and I'm using the following characters: Avatar (is a Great Knight, almost max level) Effie (General, max level) Ophellia (Sorcerer, max level, most powerful unit by far) Elise (Strategist, Level 13-ish) Siegbert (Level 15 Great Knight) Percy (Level 11 Wyvern Lord) Azura (Level 15 Hero) They're all paired up with their respective partners to utilize dual guard as much as possible. Bear in mind that I'm a bit of a noob to this particular game (beat Birthright with little issue though). I really just want to get through the game for the story so I can move on to Revelations. The issue in this chapter is that there's a general and a berserker with hammers. My bulkiest units are Effie, the Avatar, and Effie but they're all weak to hammers. There's like a billion guys in front of Iago's room. It's so frustrating I'm tempted to restart the entire game AGAIN and I don't want to do that. Please help. Or not...
