Teheran won't be dealt for prospects, says Braves GM
I posted this thread a few days ago, but I ran across something interesting this afternoon. I was reading a Ken Rosenthal interview with the Braves GM John Coppolella, and this is word-for-word what Coppolella said:
The days of us trading players like Teheran for prospects are over. We need to get better at the major league level. We would have to be overwhelmed to move Teheran.
According to Rosenthal, the Braves would only be open to a MLB ready bat of similar quality and age.
Unless this is just a GM blowing smoke or trying to raise value in Teheran, to me, it sounds like he might stay. The chances of them being blown away for a MLB ready bat at that age and to a selling team are few and far between. And plus, he's only 25 and he's putting up good numbers this year.
Does this change your mind at all about whether to sell or keep?
