Waiver/Salary Hit Question

No basketball today so Ihad a salary cap hit question. If an NBA team waives a player and another team claims the player off waivers who has the salary cap hit. For example, if the Heat and Bosh couldn't agree on clearing for play and the Heat waived him and bosh was picked up by the Lakers off waivers, would the Heat be free of his salary cap hit?
