Club Purchase Advice

Hello All,

I am a beginner golfer and have settled on the Taylormade RSI 1 irons for my first set. I found the clubs online for a $269 with a steel shaft, but due to my height I need a 1" extension on the clubs, which will set me back around $150 for the set.

I also found on the same website a set of the same clubs but with a 1.5" extesion and graphite shafts for about $45 more than the standard length set..

Do you think the savings are enough to justify buying the clubs that are slightly longer or should I bite the bullet and pay the extra hundred for new grips and extension on the standard irons so I can get the perfect club length?. My swing speed is rather slow, if the graphite vs. steel shaft is a factor.
