So...something insane happened on the course yesterday

It was my first time playing from the Blue tees....I shot a 50 on the front of Lochmere in Raleigh NC. The back was actually turning around I don't think I missed a GIR. But my putting was atrocious. The greens were great.... so fast. (No divots when you hit them either, so crazy rollout)

Anyway, on about hole 13, a long dog leg left Par 5. I hit this stinger started right, disappeared behind the trees on the left, still drawing left. I started walking right, basically like I hit a homerun... its still going, going. I step on the Blue Tee Marker, twist my ankle very badly(the Xray later reveals that I separated it) but stay on my feet. The next thing I hear is my playing mates say ' Oh shit, is that stuck in your foot???!" I look down and the nails that you stab in the ground on the underside of the marker were entirely gone....into my shoe, into my foot. In mild shock I reach down and unsheathe the nail from deep into my foot, which....is also sprained SO BADLY.

I hobble back to the cart, drive to my ball and hit an absolute beauty onto the green. At this point I can either leave, or finish. So I finished. This was a very bad idea....I was walking fine until I got in the car and drove home but I guess not using it for the 45 min drive home let all the blood rush to it. I had to re-route to the UrgentCare Center at Duke and have it looked at. Only made it there by the left footed driving technique too. Either way, I finished with a 96, a tad higher than my avg from Whites, and I think I may start playing blues when this heals.... Sadly I wont be playing for a while now but damn....what a story for bad luck and stupidity.
