PSA: Pegboard Nerds have Sausage Fattener on the master in Get On Up

Simply doing what "sounds good" has always been a bit of a struggle for me, my mind always wants to make sense of things and I get caught up in the technicality of things.

Being able to look at Splice projects from big artists has really helped that, idk if its healthy but it helps to validate the idea to me that a lot of time stuff is simpler than you think and "if it sounds good do it/it is good".

Can't say it's their best mix, but Get On up by Pegboard Nerds and Jauz mastering chain is literally a utility bringing the mix down, an EQ doing some work on the sides, a limiter and a sausage fattener. I compared the project to the mp3 release and they sound identical.

I recently got the ozone trial, and while this is an awesome piece of software, its a ton of stuff to learn and its relatively complicated, and I feel like it wouldn't be useful unless you really knew what you were doing with it.

I might try and take a step back, and see if I can't get a similar result using a simple chain like PBN.
