Would it be smart to do this with DXM syrup?

So, I'm sure all of you know how bad the DXM syrup tastes. That being said, would this method be a "smart" alternative? I can do this easily with water and idk if it work that easily with the syrup.

I feel like it could work, but idk. Can I get some opinions?

UPDATE I just ended up chugging a bottle normally, and to be honest the taste wasn't bad at all. Like at all. So let's see what happens now.
