Squelch doesn't work

I honestly can't stand those assholes who won't reply to your "greetings," but keep saying "wow" or "that's incredible" etc after each and every single move they make (even the stupid moves that don't even deserve a "well played"). I play on PC and use the right click to squelch, but it doesn't seem to silence their emotes.

How do you silence your opponents?
