I'm going to apply at Target next Friday. Should I do it as a girl?

I think it's wonderful that they are taking a stand, and I think it would be a great place for me to transition.

Well... maybe.

Just because they have pro-trans corporate policies doesn't mean that my coworkers would be accepting or tolerant (assuming I even got the job).

I also don't really pass. I do pretty consistently to old people, and it's a toss-up over the phone, but for the most part I'm read as male. I have been on estrogen/aa's for about 8 months, though, and have a really feminine demeanor.

Is it a bad idea to present female from the get-go as an obvious trans girl? Am I rushing into it and being greedy? I'm excited at this opportunity, but also scared that it might be false hope. What do you guys think I should do?

...and what on Earth should I wear to do my application/interview?

Thanks, everyone.
