Is suicide new 52 good?

So I just got done reading suicide squads new 52 volume one "kicked in the teeth" and I liked it and was wondering what other people thought of this run and if the other volumes were good as well. Also I had a question about the end. When Harley finds out about the jokers face getting cut off is this a reference to another run of comics and if so which ones? Any help would be awesome
