(35/M) who likes woman (32)...should I apologize? What should I do?

Hey there,

I have posted about this woman I really like earlier. Yesterday we were texting about work. She said it was great I enjoyed my job so much, and how to her it's more important than money, when you love what you do.

She shared with me a big recent accomplishment she made at work, and then shared with me that the consequences and money were just not worth it to her, so she consciously took a lower paying position so that she could enjoy her job more. I texted back "wow...that was a huge passive aggressive brag on your part".

She responds "wow...ouch." I told her I was obviously joking. She said she loved a good joke but didn't understand how immediately insulting a friend was funny even if I did perceive it as a brag, and that she found it kind of negative and looking for problems where there aren't any, as she was trying to share with a friend.

She didn't text me back. How should I handle this? This is a great woman, a great friend and someone I'd possibly like to have a relationship with down the road. Please help. Was I seriously wrong? Should I just let it go? Maybe she just can't take a joke? Thanks
