I just beat FE: The sacred stones and loved it. Now I'm thinking of getting awakening. Is it the same?

I loved the GBA FE game and I think I might get awakening and fates when the price drops and wanted to know if awakening is as good/better/worse than The sacred stones. Should I get it?

EDIT: I played the demo but couldn't draw enough from it.
